We are a group of dynamic, passionate Physiotherapists working to serve our local community with the best Physio care. We work from our Private rooms in Oosterville, Upington at 42 4th Avenue, which is just down the street from Medi Clinic Upington. We also work at the Medi Clinic Upington Hospital daily to tend to the patients in ICU and the wards.
My name is Lourens De Villiers and my wife’s is Lara. We moved to Upington in 2010 and have been here ever since. In 2011 God opened the door for us to start our own practice, we have been blessed ever since. So on 1 September 2011 we officially opened our doors.
We are all qualified physiotherapists working together in private practice, and registered with the Health Professionals Council of S.A and the S.A Society of Physiotherapy.
We studied at the University of the Free State, at an excellent Physiotherapy department, in Bloemfontein and that is where we met. We both finished our degree in 2009 and in 2010 we did our Community Service year at Keimoes and Gordonia hospital respectively.
My special interests include Sports injuries, Neuro-musculo-skeletal problems (That is pain anywhere in the body!!! Joints, muscles, headaches etc…) and respiratory issues. I also have a interest in tempo-mandible joint disorders – that is anything to do with your jaw.
I try to be active and absolutely love tennis (the best game ever), jogging and social sports.
Trail Running is also a new found passion.
In 2017 Lize-Marie Lategan was added to our great team.
Lize-Marie has completed various post graduate courses including Pilates, Dry Needling and Neural Tissue Dynamics. She has a special interest in Sports injuries, Hospital/Chest physio, Pilates and Sports massage.
She is very active and completed her first half marathon recently.
Our very friendly Receptionist that will help and direct all your queries, may it be appointments, accounts or just saying “Hi”. Marlene has been part of our team since 2015 and is a vital part of our team handling the bookings and Medical Aids.
